In October of last year Chicago had the 3rd highest foreclosure rate in the nation among metro areas with a population greater than 200,000.
In the third quarter of this year, according to data recently released by RealtyTrac, Chicago had the 19th highest foreclosure rate, with one in every 208 housing units in some stage of foreclosure.
